Follow to see all the fascinating things I learn in Cy Ince's Cerebrum!

In this class we learn about the cerebrum, which is the part of the brain you often use to problem solve. We learn how to debunk myths and find accurate information.

Today, we learned about the different parts of the brain we use when solving a problem. We use the front of our brain while thinking of a solution to the problem, then right when we get the answer we have the lightbulb moment, which is more of the middle of our brain. I also learned that it is a myth that we only use 10% of our brain. This class was very interesting today and I look forward to learning more.

Today, we learned about questions science can and can't answer, and how to conduct a good experiment. We played a game where there were 25 words blacked out and we had to guess each of them. All the words blacked out were things scientist do when conducting an experiment. My favorite part was getting skittles after my team got five in a row right!

We learned about empirical and anecdotal evidence today. Empirical is based on measurable data and anecdotal is evidence from personal experience. For example, evidence about bigfoot is anecdotal and evidence about everything falling at 9.8 m/s is empirical.
